Falling From Grace, Story Prompt (BTVS)

Pairing: Buffy/Spike Season 6
 

Time moves differently in paradise, so after a decade of dimension hopping, (working undercover for the PTB) and a brief hiatus, Buffy is armed with the future, including Spike's dusting at the end of Angel. Needless to say, she is beyond pissed, but agrees to return willingly only if Spike consents to being her champion.

Meanwhile, Spike overhears the Scoobies planning to resurrect her. Knowing they won't listen to him, he seeks out the Oracles for proof that she is in fact, in heaven. Subsequently, the Oracles give him Buffy's ultimatum, which we all know he jumps on. Gifting him with a few extra perks as well. (Authors choice, maybe the Gem of Amara?) Being opposed to the Slayer finding herself in a coffin, Spike proceeds to dig up and protect her body until Willow and gang bring her back. Waking with the knowledge of what's to come, a sister to care for, and a vampire to love, Buffy doesn't have the time nor patience to coddle the Scoobies anymore.
